Of, course, there are many other places on the web to which you can go for information and research. Another place that I enjoy is American Indian Satelite Radiowhere you can listen to music and programs and watch video as well. This service is by and for American Indian people and communities. When you use it, be sure to be VERY RESPECTFUL of all of the media you find!

There are multiple places on the internet to read about the Peopling of the Americas. The first short series of articles I want you to read is called "The Peopling of the Americas" by Ann Gibbons on Joseph Greenburg's hypothesis. You can find this at http://www.unl.edu/rhames/courses/greenberg.htm . What do you think of Greenburg's hypothesis? and of Gibbons' analysis? Next, I'm sending you to a NOVA site that discusses the significance of Kenniwick Man. Who was Kenniwick Man and why are his remains a vital link in the question of the Peopling of the Americas? Last, I found an article from the Athena Review Journal. This one is entitled, "How and When Did People First Come to North America?" This article also has number of maps for you to consider with some of the dating that was discussed on Thursday. Now that you've read these three pieces, what are your thoughts? Which of the hypotheses seem most viable to you? Why? You should write between 300 and 500 words for this assignment. It is considered Quiz #2.
